Project:
Reflection Platter
By: Henry Garvey, Garvey's Barnyard

Your junk is someone else's
treasure..... That is how it is for Henry Garvey of Garveys
Barnyard.
Using recyclables to create unique
art is becoming an ever growing industry. Garveys Barnyard helps
buyers and sellers locate each other for items ranging from old galvanized feed
buckets to broken pottery. Putting people in contact with junk has also
allowed Henry to expand his own artwork.
Here is a simple project Henry
thought you would enjoy making and LOOKING at !
Reflection
Platter
1 Old platter or
plate
Hanger hook
Paints or Finishes
(optional)
1 Mirror cut to
size
Mirror mastic
Paint or finish the
platter if desired. Drill a hole for the hanger hook if you will be hanging the
platter. Next you will need to measure your platter for the
mirror, or simply bring your project to your local glass company. For a few
dollars, they will cut and mastic the mirror in place. For under $5 you
can create an attractive original piece of art to hang in your home.
