Inspired by her daughter, she embellished each shade by hot-gluing ribbons or silk flowers to the clips in the package, and in some cases, she glued inexpensive beading at the top of each shade. She was able to create a Victorian look for her windows and add a more permanent look to each of the rooms in her new home.
