Temporary Window Shades are Ideal for New Homes and Apartments

(ARA) - Have you ever wanted to create a different look for your living room but hesitated because you thought it would be too expensive or too time consuming? What if you could simply and easily change the look of any room in your home without spending a lot of time or money

The possibilities are limitless with the use of Redi Shade(R), a pleated window shade made of heavy-duty paper that hangs in seconds without tools or hardware. Traditionally, new homeowners turn to Redi Shade to cover bare windows with style instead of using the customary sheets. Redi Shade is a fully functional and inexpensive window covering solution. "Considered a temporary solution to covering bare windows, many homeowners have told us that they have developed creative ideas using their Redi Shades," says company spokesperson Janice Wohlert.

Fran Paist of Snellville, Ga., has developed clever uses for her Redi Shades. When she built her home last year, she purchased the shades for privacy, knowing that expensive window treatments would have to wait.

Inspired by her daughter, she embellished each shade by hot-gluing ribbons or silk flowers to the clips in the package, and in some cases, she glued inexpensive beading at the top of each shade. She was able to create a Victorian look for her windows and add a more permanent look to each of the rooms in her new home.

"Redi Shades allows homeowners to be as creative as they want without risk. If the desired effect is not achieved, they can toss the shade into the recycle bin and start over with a new shade, since Redi Shades sell for less than $5 each in most markets," says Wohlert.

First introduced in 1991, Redi Shade is available at Lowe's, Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, JCPenney catalog and Linens N Things.
